Getting Started
Create your account
Complete the launch sequence, activate your plan, and get the secret key that Claude Code will use.
1. Press Launch!
Press Launch! anywhere on this site (or go to asklaunchpad.com/launch). The launch sequence takes about three minutes:
- About you: your name, email, phone number and a password for your dashboard.
- Personal or business: who the app is for.
- Tell us about you: what you'd like to build and how much experience you have, so we can help in the right way.
- Your package: choose one of the four sizes (Lite R299, Base R1 199, Plus R1 899 or Pro R2 999 a month). They all include the same things; they differ only in how big the server is. You can add more servers later from your dashboard.
- Payment: your chosen package starts with a 14-day free trial. R5 is charged today on PayFast's secure page to verify your card, and refunded straight away. When the trial ends you pay for the rest of that month, and from then on your package's price on the 1st of every month. PayFast keeps your card and we charge it ourselves, so there is no PayFast subscription to manage; you can cancel from the Billing page at any time. If you have a discount code, enter it here.
2. Liftoff: your plan and your secret key
As soon as the payment step completes, your plan is active: one private server, a database with backups, a web address and the Claude Code connector.
You're shown your secret key once, on the Liftoff screen. It looks like this:
lp_live_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Copy it straight away. The secret key is the one credential Claude Code needs; every request the connector receives is authenticated with it, so there's no separate login step and no session to expire.
3. Keep it safe
- We store only a hash of your key, so we can't show it again. If you lose it, open your dashboard and choose Create a new key; the old one stops working immediately.
- Don't commit it to a repository. If you keep it in a file, keep that file out of source control (a
.gitignoreentry forlaunchpad-key.txtis a good habit). - If you think it's been exposed, create a new key from your dashboard.
