Launchpad: managed servers and a Claude Code connector

Connecting Claude Code

Adding the connector

Install the Launchpad connector in the Claude desktop app and switch it on for Claude Code.

Launchpad is a connector for the Claude desktop app. You add it once in the app's settings; after that, every Claude Code session can use it. There's no terminal step and no config file to edit.

1. Install the connector

  1. Open the Claude desktop app and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Enter the name Launchpad and this URL:

  1. Leave the authentication fields empty and save. Launchpad doesn't use OAuth; it authenticates each request with your secret key (next page).

The same connector settings are shared with your account at claude.ai, so if you add it there instead, it appears in the desktop app too.

2. Switch it on in Claude Code

Open the Code tab in the desktop app and start a session in your project's folder. Connectors you've installed are available to Claude Code sessions; if Launchpad isn't already enabled for the session, turn it on from the session's connectors menu.

3. Check it's working

Ask Claude:

List the Launchpad tools you have available.

You should see fifteen tools, starting with get_account_status. If Claude says the connector is unreachable, make sure it's enabled for the session and that your network allows outbound HTTPS to mcp.asklaunchpad.com. Nothing else is required.
